Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX) said the updated mineral resource for the Fletcher deposit in Western Australia increased by about 30%, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The updated mineral resource for the deposit stood at 40.1 million tonnes at 2.3 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold for 3 million ounces, including a 426% increase in indicated mineral resource ounces to 1.55 million ounces at 2.7 g/t grade of gold.
The maiden ore reserve came in at 13.5 million tonnes at 2.6 g/t grade of gold for 1.1 million ounces.
The total Beta Hunt mining complex ore reserve now stands at 21.7 million tonnes at 2.34 g/t grade of gold for 1.6 million ounces and mineral resource at 74.6 million tonnes at 2.25 g/t grade of gold for 5.4 million ounces.
The company's shares rose 1% in recent trading on Tuesday.
