Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google has informed suppliers it plans to have its Pixel smartphones, watches and Bluetooth earbuds manufactured outside of China starting next year, Nikkei Asia reported Tuesday.
The move comes amid continuing tension between the US and China, the report said.
Vietnam and India are among the production hubs Google plans to shift toward as it seeks to increase shipments of smartphones, the report said.
Google did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
