1349 ET - The Fed will release minutes from its July interest rate meeting on Wednesday, where rates were held steady in a target range of 3.5-3.75%, drawing three dissents from regional presidents who preferred to raise rates. Economists are likely to focus on how officials were thinking about the path of interest rates this year before last week's CPI and PPI print. Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee said in a Fox interview last week that new inflation information was slightly better, and progress to 2% will depend upon getting one-time price pressures like rising oil prices and tariffs in the rearview mirror. Expectations for a rate increase at September's meeting have dropped to 33% from 52% a week ago, according to CME's FedWatch tool.
