Amazon.com (AMZN) said Wednesday that it plans to expand its Prime Air drone delivery service to nearly 500 US cities and towns by the end of 2026, nearly six times its current footprint.
Prime Air currently operates from 11 locations in seven states, with planned launches in Chicago, Syracuse, Cleveland, Atlanta and Boise, it said. The service can deliver millions of eligible items, including groceries, electronics, cosmetics and medications, in as fast as 30 minutes, it added.
