Google Plans to End Pixel Production in China in 2027, Nikkei Reports, Citing Sources

--Google told suppliers that it plans to produce all its Pixel products outside China from next year amid continuing U.S.-China tensions, Nikkei reports, citing unnamed sources.

--The successful development and production of high-end Pixel phones in Vietnam this year gave Google the confidence to proceed with the 2027 timeline to move Pixel production out of China, according to the report.

--Google also told suppliers that it plans to increase its 2026 Pixel phone shipments by 8% to 10%, Nikkei says.

--Google didn't respond to Nikkei's request for comment.
