SK hynix: The chip giant announced plans for a $28 billion buyback. Its U.S.-listed shares jumped in premarket trading. Earlier, its Korean shares closed nearly 10% lower amid a selloff in Asia.

La-Z-Boy: Shares slumped 18% in premarket trading after the furniture maker swung to a loss in its fiscal first quarter from an unexpected decline in sales.

Carlsberg: The brewer lifted the lower end of its full-year guidance but said beer volumes fell. Its shares fell in Denmark.

Target , Lowe's, TJX, Analog Devices, Viking Holdings, Estee Lauder: The companies are set to report earnings ahead of the opening bell.
