Keppel's (SGX:BN4) connectivity division has been provisionally awarded 50 megawatts of new data center capacity under Singapore's second Data Center Call for Application, jointly managed by the Economic Development Board, according to a Friday filing.

The award drew more than 20 proposals and will now support the development of Keppel Data Center Singapore 11, with an expected investment of more than SG$1 billion.

The data center is part of the wider Jurong Island Data Center Park Initiative, which will be funded by Keppel Data Center Fund II and co-investors.
