LivePerson (LPSN) said Thursday its special meeting of stockholders was convened and immediately adjourned to Sept. 2.
The company said more than 97% of shares voting to date were in favor of its merger with SoundHound AI (SOUN), based on preliminary results, but the transaction requires approval from a majority of all outstanding shares.
LivePerson said it is only a few percentage points short of reaching the required threshold and urged stockholders who have not voted to do so.
Shares of LivePerson were down 4% in Thursday trading.
