Disney (DIS) request for an urgent hearing on its lawsuit to block the Federal Communications Commission's review of licenses for eight company-owned ABC stations was rejected by a judge on Thursday, news outlets reported.
The request was rejected after the government said it would provide at least 48 hours notice before referring the licenses for a hearing, Reuters reported.
US President Donald Trump has pushed for a review of the licenses over political coverage he deems unfair and its refusal to air his recent speech on alleged election fraud live, the report said.
The judge has ordered a hearing on the case the first week of October, Deadline reported.
Disney did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
