Singapore shares edged higher on Monday as investors monitored developments regarding potential U.S. sanctions on Iran and awaited further cues on the U.S. interest rate outlook.

The Straits Times Index opened higher by 0.10%, gaining 5.86 points, at 5,694.82.

Investors will also be closely watching local companies' earnings, as well as global tech giant Nvidia's results on Wednesday.
