SK hynix (KRX:000660) is exploring further cooperation with Japanese customers and suppliers, particularly in the NAND flash market, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing CEO Kwak Noh-Jung.

The company has no fixed plans for its indirect Kioxia (TYO:285A) stake, the news wire said, citing Kwak after the groundbreaking of its $4 billion Indiana plant.

SK Hynix, the world's second-largest memory chipmaker, holds an indirect stake in Kioxia through its investment in Bain Capital's consortium that acquired the company from Toshiba in 2018.
