SpaceX (SPCX) Chief Executive Elon Musk sees the space exploration company reaching roughly $3.5 trillion in revenue by 2033, he said in an X post.
Musk made the comment in an X post responding to Mach 33 CEO Aaron Burnett, who had cited Morgan Stanley's (MS) forecast that SpaceX would hit that same $3.5 trillion milestone by 2040. The bank's estimate is tied to significant growth in SpaceX's Starship launch business and other space-related operations.
Burnett noted that the bank's long-term model is actually highly conservative, as its multi-trillion-dollar figure is based on a number that is almost half of SpaceX's stated internal goal and arrives a full 10 years later than the company is actively targeting to achieve it.
By pushing the estimated timeline up to 2033, Musk's personal projection outpaces Morgan Stanley's expectations by seven years.
