Infleqtion (INFQ) said Thursday that it has won a $20 million follow-on contract from NASA to continue to develop the Quantum Gravity Gradiometer Pathfinder.
The company said the program is intended to demonstrate that quantum sensor technology could change how Earth's surface gravity is measured from space. By directly measuring subtle variations in Earth's gravitational field, the company said the program aims to help reduce risks for high resolution, and quantum gravity instruments.
The systems could provide deeper insights into how surface and underground water, ice, and natural resources shift over time, Infleqtion said.
Shares of the quantum technology company were up 3.2% pre-bell.
