MT Newswires Live01:23

Target (TGT) shares were down nearly 4% in Tuesday trading, a day after the company apologized over an offensive Halloween clown costume.

The company said the costume is no longer available for sale and that it is reviewing how this happened and what steps it needs to take to ensure it does not happen again.

Bloomberg reported that the costume drew criticism for evoking blackface imagery and that Target is investigating how the product made it into its inventory.
