Moderna (MRNA) priced a $2.6 billion offering of convertible senior notes due 2032, up from the previously announced $2 billion, the company said Friday.

Initial purchasers were granted an option to buy up to an additional $400 million of notes, the company said.

The company expects to use the net proceeds to pay the cost of certain capped call transactions and for general corporate purposes, including potential investments in its oncology business and debt repayment, it added.

The company expects the sale to initial purchasers to close Tuesday.
