KNOT Offshore Unit to Acquire Knutsen Canadian Chartering

KNOT Offshore Partners (KNOP) unit KNOT Shuttle Tankers has agreed to acquire Knutsen Canadian Chartering from Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers for $113 million, KNOT said Wednesday.

Knutsen Canadian Chartering owns Hedda Knutsen, a 154,000-deadweight-ton Suezmax shuttle tanker operating in Brazil under a Petrobras time charter through November 2034, with an option to extend for another five years, KNOT said.

KNOT also completed a $225 million senior secured refinancing for five vessels, with the facility maturing in June 2031 at SOFR plus 1.65% and including a $111.1 million balloon payment at maturity, it added.
