CK Hutchison (HKG:0001) expects to sell its remaining global ports portfolio for about its original $22.8 billion valuation, despite the exclusion of two Panama Canal terminals from the deal, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
The proposed sale of 43 ports to a consortium including BlackRock was initially expected to generate more than $19 billion in cash for CK Hutchison. That expectation remains unchanged despite the Panama facilities being dropped, Bloomberg said.
Talks are ongoing, and the final price and other terms could still change given the complexity of the transaction, the report added.
CK Hutchison and BlackRock did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
