Kyoritsu Maintenance Sales Slip 4% in July

Kyoritsu Maintenance (TYO:9616) dormitory, hotel and all other businesses' sales fell by 4% year on year to 23.1 billion yen in July, according to its Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.

Sales recorded by its hotel business, which was the largest sales contributor during the month, rose 12% year on year to 12.9 billion yen.

Dormitory business sales were up 7% to 5.1 billion yen, building management fell 15% in sales to 1.6 billion yen, while food services sales increased by 14% to 1.3 billion yen.

Kyoritsu Maintenance's development business, however, saw a sharp drop of 88% in sales in July, plunging to just 381 million yen from 3.2 billion yen a year earlier, the filing said.

For the cumulative seven-month period through July, total sales rose 3% year on year to 90.7 billion yen, with hotel sales up 9%, dormitory sales up 7%, and development business sales down 69%.
