Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals (ARWR) thinks Plozasiran could receive US Food and Drug Administration approval to treat severe hypertriglyceridemia, or sHTG, by the second quarter of 2027, RBC Capital Markets analysts said in a Sunday note.
Arrowhead expects to file a supplemental new drug application for the therapy with the FDA before the end of 2026, the analysts said.
On the commercial side, the company noted that educating physicians and activating patients is key, and that the market is relatively concentrated, the analysts said.
Outside the United States, the company is planning to rely on local distributors, except for China, where Sanofi (SNY) has the rights to the molecule, RBC said.
Analysts said that while Arrowhead shares have risen about eightfold since April 2025, the company is poised to successfully transition from a science organization to a "commercial powerhouse."
RBC has an outperform rating and a $100 price target on the stock, with a speculative-risk designation.
