Treasury Yields End Higher After Fed's Jackson Hole Speech

1615 ET - U.S. Treasury yields ended the day higher as investors reacted to Fed Chairman Warsh's Jackson Hole speech, which some economists and former Fed officials interpreted as hawkish. The 2-year yield rose 0.118 percentage point to 4.348%, marking the largest single-day yield gain following a Jackson Hole Fed Chair speech since Alan Greenspan's address in 1996. The 10-year yield rose 0.050 percentage point to 4.721%. U.S. consumer sentiment declined in August. Next week the Labor Department will release August payroll numbers.
