Barton Gold Delivers Broad, High-Grade Assays from South Australia Project; Shares Down 4%

Barton Gold (ASX:BGD) delivered broad and high-grade assays in shallow areas of the starter pits at its Tunkillia project in South Australia, supporting potential to extend total Tunkillia mineralization and an increase to mineral resources, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Further assays from the second phase upgrade drilling include six meters at 6.61 grams per tonne grade of gold from 70 meters, six meters at 2.95 g/t grade of gold from 63 meters, and 11 meters at 2.87 g/t grade of gold from 79 meters, the filing said.

A final batch of resource upgrade drilling assays is anticipated to be reported shortly, per the filing.

Shares fell 4% in midday trade Monday.
