Tech stocks were slightly higher Monday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) increasing 0.1% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) fractionally higher.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index added 0.3%.
In corporate news, Nvidia (NVDA) expanded its partnership with chip designer MediaTek, including a $3.5 billion investment, to support adoption of the company's proprietary interconnect technology for custom rack-scale AI chips. Nvidia shares were up 1.1%.
