Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) chipmaking tool needs have nearly doubled since the end of 2025, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing a senior executive's comments at a conference.
The company raised its own estimate of quarterly equipment purchases to about 1.9 times what it projected in December last year, Deputy Co-Chief Operating Officer Cliff Hou said, according to Bloomberg.
Taiwan Semiconductor did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
