Trump: Missouri court ruling 'ridiculous, unConstitutional'

President Donald J. Trump criticized the Missouri Supreme Court's decision to redraw congressional district maps in a post on X on September 3, calling the ruling "ridiculous" and "unConstitutional" and warning there is no time left to change the maps before the upcoming election.

"The Missouri Supreme Court just ridiculously ruled in favor of changing the maps back to what they were a long time ago. It's called, Ancient History!" Trump wrote. He cited legal scholars saying the ruling was "horrible, ridiculous, and unConstitutional" and that "there won't be enough time to change the map back with the Election coming up in a very short period of time."

The president argued that Missouri should be allowed to use the map that was in effect just a few months ago during the primary. He described the day as "a Dark Day for 'Justice' in Missouri" and claimed the election process was being "disturbed" in America.

The Missouri Supreme Court has not immediately responded to Trump's comments. The ruling is part of ongoing litigation over the state's congressional map following the 2020 census.
