President Donald Trump announced on September 1 that he is nominating Hung Cao to serve as the next Secretary of the Navy. In a post on X, Trump described Cao as a "true WARRIOR" and stressed the need for patriots like him to lead the Navy and Marine Corps.

"I am pleased to nominate a true WARRIOR, Hung Cao, to become the next Secretary of the Navy. We need Patriots like Hung leading our Navy and Marine Corps, and I can think of no one better than him to make sure our Great Navy and Marine Corps remain the FIERCEST and BEST Force the World has ever seen," Trump wrote.

The President called on the Senate to confirm Cao "ASAP" so he can continue the work done over the past four months. Cao is the nominee for the post and previously served in the Navy.
