Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals (SHA:603087) said its subsidiary received China's regulatory approval to start clinical trials for GZC8072 tablets.
The drug is a novel once-weekly oral GLP-1 therapy for type two diabetes, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Shares of the pharmaceutical company fell 1% in recent trade.
