Sumitomo Forestry (TYO:1911) plans to issue 243.5 billion yen of publicly offered hybrid bonds in three series, with maturities ranging from 2061 to 2066, the Japanese logging and processing firm said in a Friday filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The first series is of 130 billion yen with an initial interest rate of 3.310%, the second is of 63.5 billion yen at 3.824%, and the third totals 50 billion yen at 4.343%, the filing said.
The bonds, with a maturity date of Sept. 10, 2061, will be primarily offered to institutional investors in Japan and are unsecured and unguaranteed. The payment date is Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, it said.
