CALB's New Capacity Ramp-up Could Underpin 2H Growth
Dow Jones09-03
0505 GMT - CALB's new capacity ramp-up is likely to underpin strong 2H growth, say DBS Group Research's Tina Ting Hu and Pei Hwa Ho in a note. The Chinese lithium battery manufacturer is accelerating its capacity expansion and targets to equip 400 gigawatt-hours of capacity by 2026. The analysts expect higher-than-industry growth for its battery delivery volume thanks to its ties to renewable energy company Sungrow and technology company Huawei. The volume-led growth could drive margin increases for CALB, backed by higher proportion of revenue from top-tier customers and the overseas segment. DBS maintains a buy rating and 36.00 Hong Kong dollar target price. Shares rise 1.1% to HK$17.08.
