See the pricing notice here for more details.  \nThe changes were proposed in a pricing notice published on March 30, while the decision to implement the methodology change was announced in a pricing notice published on June 15.  \nThe changes are as follows:  \nBattery-grade lithium hydroxide assessments  \n1. Fastmarkets has changed the quality to “non-clumping and non-agglomerated coarse powder, widely qualified by buyers in the destination country for use in battery applications…” Fastmarkets defines coarse powder as particle size D50 between 200 μm and 700 μm. Previously, Fastmarkets assessed “Powder, accepted by buyer for use in battery applications…”  \n2. Fastmarkets has added 30-day payment terms to its ddp Europe and ddp US/Canada assessments and has clarified telegraphic transfer payment terms for its exw domestic China assessment. Other payment terms would be considered for normalization. Previously, Fastmarkets did not specify payment terms.  \n3. Fastmarkets has changed the minimum quantity to 30 tonnes for its exw domestic China assessment. Other quantities may be considered for normalization. Previously, the minimum quantity was 5 tonnes. The minimum volume specifications for ddp Europe, ddp US & Canada have not changed.  \n4. Fastmarkets has increased the timing specification to delivery within 60 days from 30 days for its ddp Europe and ddp US & Canada assessments, to better reflect intercontinental voyage times.  \n5. Material stored in airtight bags or drums may be considered for normalization.
