Hongkong Land Holdings (SGX:H78) is eyeing investments worth over $1 billion in mixed-use properties in prime locations across Tokyo, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The Jardine Matheson Holdings (SGX:J36) subsidiary has approached Blackstone and Hulic regarding their respective assets, Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho and Otemachi Place, which have multibillion-dollar valuations, the report said.
The discussions are preliminary and may not lead to a deal or partnership, according to the report.
Hongkong Land, Blackstone, and Hulic did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
