During an investigation, regulators seized nearly $80,000 in inventory alongside chemical solvents and printing machinery used to swap original manufacturer markings, the news outlet reported.
Privately held Sadhana Enterprises ran the Navi Mumbai warehouse for 19 exporting companies where the illicit re-labeling work was done, Reuters reported.
PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Unilever, and Nestle did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
