Trump's Truth Social latest posts09-05

President Donald Trump announced on social media on September 4 that the two-day G20 Innovation Ministerial in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, was “very productive and historic.” Under the leadership of Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and OSTP Director Michael Kratsios, business and technology ministers from around the world reached a strong consensus on advancing emerging technologies.

The agreement, called the Carolina Principles, focuses on investing, building, commercializing, and deploying emerging technologies with smart rules and standards, not more regulation. Trump stated: “INNOVATION is BACK at the G20! Countries from all over the World now understand that Innovation means GROWTH, and Growth means Prosperity.” He emphasized that the United States is “NUMBER ONE in Tech, and NUMBER ONE in A.I. — BY A LOT!” and urged other nations to follow America’s lead.

The ministerial meeting, held September 2-4, marked the first time the G20 hosted an innovation ministerial in the U.S. Trump praised North Carolina as home to the Research Triangle and world-class universities.
