Market Chatter: Anthropic May Give Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Key Roles in $2 Trillion IPO

MT Newswires Live04:39

Anthropic could give Morgan Stanley (MS) and Goldman Sachs (GS) key roles in handling its market debut as the AI giant prepares to file its initial public offering paperwork as early as next week, Financial Times reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Morgan Stanley is reportedly the front-runner to secure the "lead left" role in the IPO, which could value Anthropic at $2 trillion or more. The investment bank has in recent weeks led talks with potential Anthropic investors about the price at which the company will float its shares.

While Goldman is expected to serve as the IPO's stabilization agent, helping oversee the crucial first trading sessions after Anthropic goes public.

Anthropic, Morgan Stanley and Goldman did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
