Bitcoin Declines Ahead of U.S. Inflation Data, ECB Rate Decision

0831 GMT - Bitcoin dips as markets await U.S. inflation data due on Thursday and Friday. The U.S. producer price index data due at 1230 GMT and the U.S. consumer price index data due on Friday could provide signals on the prospects of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates next week. Investors price in a 59% probability of a Fed rate increase next week, LSEG data show. Market focus is also on the European Central Bank rate decision due at 1215 GMT. Investors price in a 99% possibility of an ECB interest rate increase on Thursday. Bitcoin falls 0.2% to $78,162.
