Market Chatter: VinFast Auto in Talks With Suppliers to Develop Two EVs in India

MT Newswires Live00:02

VinFast Auto (VFS) has started discussions with suppliers to develop two new electric vehicle models in India, Reuters reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The models have internal codenames of VF X and VF Y, the report stated.

The company aims to sell the VF X model as an entry-level product, priced below $12,000, Reuters reported.

VinFast intends to develop a model that is smaller than its VF 6 crossover SUV but a little bigger than its VF 3 two-door SUV, the report added.

VinFast did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
