SK Hynix (KRX:000660) and Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) have declined Korea Electric Power's (KRX:015760) proposal to prepay five years of electricity bills, Yonhap News reported Monday, citing industry sources.

The South Korean power company proposed a 20 trillion won prepayment from Samsung and 5 trillion won from SK Hynix, based on their electricity payments last year.

SK Hynix declined to comment, while Samsung Electronics and Korea Electric Power did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
