Singapore shares opened higher on Thursday, shrugging off the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates for the first time in three years.
The Straits Times Index opened 21.85 points, or 0.39%, higher at 5,657.260.
Investor sentiment was further bolstered as Brent crude fell back below $105 a barrel, easing Middle East supply fears as Saudi Arabia works to restore approximately half the operational capacity of its East-West pipeline following recent disruptions.
