Trump: Artificial intelligence should be renamed 'Superior Intelligence' or 'Supreme Intelligence'

President Donald Trump posted on social media platform X on September 19 that many people consider the term 'artificial intelligence' inaccurate and ineloquent, and he proposed alternatives such as 'Superior Intelligence' (SI), 'Extreme Intelligence' (EI), or 'Supreme Intelligence' (SI), launching a poll on the platform.

"Many people think that the words 'Artificial Intelligence' are inaccurate, and very ineloquent, relative to AI, or Artificial Intelligence. A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (EI) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI). This is a Poll, and I would appreciate everybody voting! Which is the best name for this ever growing 'Revolution?'" Trump wrote, inviting public participation in the vote.

As of now, Trump has not released the poll results or indicated whether he intends to formally push for a name change. The remarks underscore his ongoing engagement with technology topics but do not outline any specific policy actions.
