Trip.com (HKG:9961) has launched a six-day space travel package for around 5.1 million yuan, according to a Wednesday report by the South China Morning Post.

The report said the online travel company announced the package details on its mainland China platform, Ctrip. It plans to offer a 90-minute suborbital flight operated by Virgin Galactic, flying from Las Cruces, New Mexico.

The six-day package includes four days of training, with takeoff scheduled for the fifth day, the report said. It covers only the space flight and accommodation, and participants must pay separately for U.S. flight tickets, visas, insurance, and other related expenses.

The launch is expected next year, and at least two customers have booked the package through Ctrip, according to the report.

The company's shares were down nearly 3% on the HKEX in Thursday's late-morning trade.
