Cathay Pacific Passenger Traffic Rises 5% in August

Cathay Pacific Airways (HKG:0293) carried 5% more passengers in August from a year earlier, while available seat kilometres rose 3%.

Cathay Pacific and HK Express carried more than 3.6 million passengers combined during the month, up 4% year over year, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing. Cathay Cargo, meanwhile, saw a 9% tonnage growth to 150,000 tonnes over the period.

Passenger traffic for the first eight months of 2026 rose 15% year over year.
