Eva Airways (TPE:2618) is mulling the acquisition of around 24 passenger jets from Airbus and Boeing as part of its fleet rejuvenation strategy, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
A final decision is likely to be made in the coming months and the airline operator could decide to shelve the deal, the report added.
The company has already ordered three dozen twin-aisle jets from Boeing and Airbus between 2023 and 2025, with delivery starting from the mid-2030s, the report said.
Eva Airways did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
