Banpu's (SET:BANPU-R) NYSE-listed subsidiary, BKV Corp., completed the acquisition of certain Barnett Shale upstream, midstream and carbon capture and storage assets in Texas, according to a Wednesday filing with the Thailand Exchange.
The acquisition was funded via a combination of cash on hand and borrowings under the energy company's revolving credit facility.
The acquisition strengthens the unit's integrated platform across natural gas upstream, midstream and carbon capture businesses, and also increases natural gas volumes available to serve the Dallas-Fort Worth and Gulf Coast regions.
