MT Newswires Live12:12

GMI Cloud, an Nvidia partner, is working to secure a $300 million loan to acquire chips for its facility at STT GDC Pte's site in Thailand, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The people told the news agency that Tencent (HKG:0700) will be the user of the chips.

The data center operator has reached out to banks and private credit funds to secure the loan, as per the report.

This comes after the company secured a NT$13.9 billion loan for a project in Taiwan, the report noted.

GMI Cloud did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
