Gilt Yields Fall After BOE Keeps Rates Unchanged at 3.75%

1133 GMT - Yields on U.K. government bonds, or gilts, decline after the Bank of England votes to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.75%. Six members voted in favor and three members voted to raise rates, as widely expected. The BOE also gave an update on its quantitative tightening program. It now plans active gilt sales of 20 billion pounds of bonds annually until 2034, alongside maturing gilts. Ten-year gilt yields fall to last trade at 5.238%, down more than 5 basis points on the day, from 5.295% before the decision, Tradeweb data show. Thirty-year gilt yields drop to 5.799%, from 5.839% prior to the rate decision.
