Market Chatter: SoftBank Group-Backed SB Energy Delays US IPO

MT Newswires Live09-22 11:41

SoftBank Group's (TYO:9984) unit SB Energy has delayed its initial public offering, the New York Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the deal's marketing efforts.

The listing, originally slated for this month, has been pushed back amid investor skepticism over the company's targeted $50 billion valuation, the report said.

SB Energy develops data center and energy infrastructure and has 8.8 gigawatts of data center projects under contract or construction, including projects in Texas and Ohio.

It has applied to list its common stock on Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas under the symbol "SBE."
