Sherwin-Williams (SHW) is expected to discuss "choppy" demand, pricing and cost pressures, and capital allocation at its upcoming investor event, RBC Capital Markets said in a note Monday.
The company will host its annual financial community presentation in Cleveland, Ohio, from Wednesday to Thursday.
The analysts said demand remains "choppy," although market share gains are helping. On pricing and costs, investors will look for updates on the Paint Stores Group's performance, the company's recently announced 8% price increase, and recent oil-cost inflation.
For capital allocation, the focus will likely be on bolt-on mergers and acquisitions and share buybacks.
Looking ahead to 2027, the analysts think the company has the opportunity for more than 10% earnings-per-share growth.
This could be driven by growth at 1.5 to 2 times the market rate of 1% to 2%, mid-single-digit pricing growth, high-single-digit earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization growth, and a 2% to 4% contribution to EPS from share buybacks.
"We believe that Sherwin-Williams has the strongest pricing power among coatings companies given fragmented customer base and low price elasticity of contractors," the analysts added.
RBC has an outperform rating and a $420 price target on Sherwin-Williams.
