Market Chatter: Novo Nordisk Mulls Direct NYSE Listing to Boost US Profile

MT Newswires Live09-23 16:05

Novo Nordisk (NVO) signaled it may consider upgrading its New York listing as it looks to raise its profile in the US market, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing chief executive Mike Doustdar.

Doustdar said he sees potential advantages in listing shares directly on the New York Stock Exchange rather than relying on American depositary receipts, though the company is not actively pursuing the move, according to the FT.

The US accounts for more than half of Novo's revenue and most of its sales of diabetes and obesity treatments, according to the report.

Novo Nordisk did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
