Western Mining (SHA:601168) subsidiary Qinghai Ganxin Mining Development obtained a mining license from the Qinghai Province regulator for the Golmud City Tawenchahan iron-polymetallic mine.
The license completes the company's conversion to miner from explorer, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The license, valid until August 2043, permits underground mining of iron, copper, gold, molybdenum, zinc, lead and silver.
Shares of the miner rose 2% in recent trade.
