Fitch Rates SoftBank Group's Proposed US Dollar, Euro Notes BB+

Fitch Ratings has given SoftBank Group's (TYO:9984) proposed U.S. dollar and euro senior unsecured notes BB+ ratings, according to a Sunday release.

The notes' ratings are equivalent to the company's long-term foreign currency issuer default ratings, as they serve as its direct, unsecured and unsubordinated obligations and rank equally with its other unsecured and unsubordinated debt, Fitch said.

The company's ratings reflect sizable returns due to its diversified segments, albeit greater volatility, large exposure to OpenAI and greater appetite for riskier investments that lower the credit quality of related funds as well as broad access to capital, among other factors.

Shares of the company rose more than 1% in recent trade.
