Samsung Electro-Mechanics' Revenue Growth Seen Driven by AI Data Servers
Dow Jones09-23 10:11
0211 GMT - Samsung Electro-Mechanics' revenue growth is likely to be driven by demand for its multilayer ceramic capacitors used in artificial-intelligence data servers,, Daiwa's SK Kim says. The analyst expects AI servers to account for 40% of the electronics-component supplier's MLCC revenue in 2027, citing its recent long-term supply contracts with multiple big-tech companies for next year. AI servers use 30% more MLCCs than previous-generation data servers, he notes. Daiwa maintains a buy rating on the company but trims its target price to 3,000,000 won from 3,300,000 won, reflecting a lower target price-to-earnings multiple for industry peers. Shares are 0.8% higher at 1,498,000 won.
